KYLE DAVID BACH
President and CEO
Mr. Bach has been involved in the production of Affordable Housing for more than eight (8) years. His main area of focus is financing developments utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and the development of multi-family and senior housing. Mr. Bach brings a vast array of multi-family housing development experience to the development team. He has developed housing for the elderly, garden-style apartments, town homes, single-family homes, duplex homes, student housing and and historic renovation projects.
Mr. Bach is very knowledgeable and capable in combining numerous public and private sources of funds to make an affordable project feasible. He has been successful in working with many communities, including those listed below, that see the benefits of developing safe, clean, affordable housing. These benefits include the extra dollars spent in the community by keeping current residents and bringing others in from out of town, providing nearby housing for employees of local employers, construction dollars spent locally by employing area labor and by purchasing materials from area suppliers, and the payment of property taxes to supplement the communities’ tax base.
Mr. Bach has been involved in site selection, entitlements, third-party coordination, financing, and community relations. His experience on over twenty (20) developments across the country has made him an essential team member as he continues to facilitate the entire development process, construction, and lease-up.
Mecca Companies, Inc., was formed in 2005 and has been the lead development consultant on hundreds of units throughout the United States. Prior to the formation of Mecca Companies, Mr. Bach was a Development Originator of The Sterling Group, Inc., and Director of Development (Midwest Region) for Rich Smith Development, LLC.
Mr. Bach has a wife, Jill, 4-year-old twins, Molly and Maddux, and a 2 year old son, Nicholas. Mr. Bach is a graduate of Indiana University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and was president of the Indiana Gamma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and a member of the IU baseball team.
Thomas R. Tomaszewski
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Tomaszewski is an experienced construction project manager and development specialist. Mr. Tomaszewski has actively participated in all stages of development and construction on several different types of projects worth more than $250,000,000. His construction experience includes work on major civil infrastructure projects, development and construction of single- and multi-family communities, mid-rise commercial buildings, office parks, rehabilitation of housing, and hotels. Mr. Tomaszewski has managed and coordinated projects for both private and public entities and is well versed working within governmental programs. He has worked as a regulator in the Village of Frankfort’s Engineering Department, as an owner representing a private development company, as a general contractor, and as a consultant acting upon the best interests of his clients.
Mr. Tomaszewski received a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington, in June 2003. He also received an advanced degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the Armor School of Engineering and Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, in May 2008.
Mark Nicholas Stanfa, JD CPA
NSP Program Director
Mr. Stanfa is a graduate from Florida State University’s College of Law. He sat for the Illinois Bar this past July. Prior to law school, Mr. Stanfa worked for First Industrial Realty Trust as a Financial Analyst in the Executive Department. At First Industrial, Mr. Stanfa created complex and dynamic real estate financial models for $1.6B joint venture portfolio, and he assisted in creating quarterly earnings reports for SEC requirements. Additionally, Mr. Stanfa is a Registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois. He also worked at Deloitte & Touche as an auditor in their Financial Service and Real Estate Departments. At Deloitte, Mr. Stanfa audited financial funds for investment management companies, private equity clients, and real estate clients.
Mr. Stanfa graduated from Indiana University with Bachelors Degree in Business where he double majored in accounting and finance with a minor in psychology. He was on the Dean’s List every semester of undergraduate studies. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Stanfa had the opportunity to participate in three internships. He worked as a litigation intern for Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP in Atlanta. During this internship, Mr. Stanfa organized firm files, updated databases for case materials, and assembled case notebooks for attorneys. His second internship was with Ernst & Young in their Real Estate Tax Compliance Department in Chicago during busy season. At Ernst & Young, Mr. Stanfa assisted and completed federal and state returns for several tax projects including partnerships, REITs, and corporate tax returns. His final internship was with Deloitte & Touche in the Comprehensive Tax Solutions Department. At Deloitte, Mr. Stanfa contributed to team engagements for scoping, implementation of processes, and strategic tax reviews for clients.
