Mecca Companies, Inc. (Mecca), is an affordable housing and student housing development firm based in South Bend, IN. Mecca was founded by Kyle Bach, its current President and CEO. In 2008, Mecca launched a complementary business component, Gamma Contracting Group (GCG) as a

subsidiary organization to facilitate construction management services to Mecca’s affordable housing developments. GCG is lead by Thomas Tomaszewski, who offers an extensive educational background to supplement his hands-on construction experience. In 2010, Mecca announced their student housing development endeavor, initiated by Indiana University Kokomo. It is the intent of Mecca to develop student housing at smaller colleges and universities to serve a much needed market throughout the Midwest.
Mecca has produced in excess of 1,100 affordable housing units throughout the Midwest over the past four years with a total development cost exceeding $125,000,000.

Mecca has represented more than 50 affordable housing developers (including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations), governing municipalities, and public housing authorities throughout the United States.
The primary financing mechanism for a majority of the projects is the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC); however, with the recent economic turmoil within the LIHTC industry (among others), Mecca and its principals have utilized their affordable housing development experience to implement and facilitate successful Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) initiatives.
It is our mission through strategic planning, key personnel and tenacity to successfully develop and consult quality real estate developments throughout the United States, with an emphasis on low-income housing.
