Mecca has produced in excess of 1,000 affordable housing units throughout the Midwest over the past three years with a total development cost exceeding $115,000,000.
Mecca has represented more than 50 affordable housing developers (including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations), governing municipalities, and public housing authorities throughout the United States.
The primary financing mechanism for a majority of the projects is the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC); however, with the recent economic turmoil within the LIHTC industry (among others), Mecca and its principals have utilized their affordable housing development experience to implement and facilitate successful Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) initiatives.
It is our mission through strategic planning, key personal and tenacity to successfully develop and consult quality real estate developments throughout the United States, with an emphasis on low-income housing.
